Just a quick note to say I didn’t get the job. Tom suggested I ask for feedback and even though I didn’t hold out much hope, I asked for some. It turns out the other applicants just had more experience, which makes me feel better.
The rest of this week has been spent working out WordPress themes. I’m making much quicker progress than I though I would, which is great. There’s a lot to do, but I’ll hopefully be done before the end of the month!
Google has been my crutch, but at least I’m able to get the right terms more or less straight away. What I’m given is usually not exactly what I want, but I’ve been able to modify the content easily enough so I’m really proud of myself.
What I’m not looking forward to is working out how to set up a custom post format so that I can style my written portfolio differently depending on where the portfolio pieces originated. I’ve already had a quick look and I’m confused already.
