Golden Gnome Awards 2014 Results

This portfolio entry was originally published on the RuneScape website. You can view the original on the RuneScape website. Although it is unlikely, the original article can be edited and as such some details may differ to the original piece I created. The last update I made to the original post was in November 2014 and as such the details contained below may now be out-of-date.

The 4th annual Golden Gnome Awards – or GGAs – was our biggest yet with 22 gnomes given out on the day. These awards celebrate some of the funniest, most talented, most dedicated and – in the case of one JMod, the daftest – people in our community. Although the majority of the award winners were picked by JMods, three of our awards were given for activities held during the day, and we also let the GGA audience pick the winners of our cosplay competition. In addition to their Golden Gnome, all of our winners will receive the Golden Gnome pet. Technical difficulties on the day meant that the audience couldn’t see the artwork for some of the awards. So, we’ve posted them here for your viewing pleasure.

At the start of the day, Mod Campbell rushed around the venue in an attempt to grab all 8 skill chips so that he could win a gnome. Mods Dee and Quaid didn’t think this was enough of a challenge, however, and asked Mod Campbell to eat a whole chocolate cake with his hands tied behind his back.

Although he didn’t finish his cake in time, the audience voted that he should receive his gnome anyway.
